FAQ

This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.

Feeling nervous before a senior picture photo shoot is completely normal! Here are some tips to help calm your nerves and make the experience more enjoyable:

PREPARE IN ADVANCE: Plan your outfits, hair, and makeup in advance so you're not rushed on the day of the shoot. Feeling prepared can help alleviate some anxiety.

PRACTICE POSING:
Spend some time practicing different poses in front of a mirror before the photo shoot. This can help you feel more confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

BRING A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER:
Having someone you trust by your side can help you feel more relaxed during the photo shoot. They can also provide moral support and help you stay focused.

COMMUNICATE WITH ME:
Let me know if you have any specific concerns or preferences. I am there to help you feel comfortable and capture your best angles.

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE:
Instead of dwelling on your nerves, try to focus on the positive aspects of the photo shoot. Think about how much fun you'll have and the memories you'll create.

VISUALIZE SUCCESS:
Take a moment to visualize yourself smiling, posing confidently, and having a great time during the photo shoot. Visualizing success can help boost your confidence and reduce anxiety.

STAY HYDRATED ADN WELL-RESTED:
Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before the photo shoot and stay hydrated throughout the day. Taking care of your body can help reduce stress and anxiety.

REMEMBER, IT'S OK TO BE YOURSELF:
Embrace your uniqueness and remember that senior pictures are meant to capture your personality and individuality. Don't be afraid to let your true self shine!

By following these tips and focusing on staying relaxed and confident, you can make your senior picture photo shoot a memorable and enjoyable experience.

What should I wear?

Choosing what to wear for senior pictures depends on your personal style, the setting, and the message you want to convey. Here are some tips to help you decide:

CLASSIC AND TIMELESS:
Opt for outfits that won't look dated in a few years. Solid colors or simple patterns work well for this.

COMFORT:
Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. If you're uncomfortable, it will show in the photos.

AVOID TRENDS:
While it's okay to incorporate some current trends, avoid anything too trendy that might look outdated quickly.

COORDINATE WITH THE SETTING:
Consider where your pictures will be taken and choose outfits that complement the location. For example, if you're taking outdoor photos in a natural setting, earthy tones or soft pastels might work well.

EXPRESS YOURSELF:
Your senior pictures are a reflection of who you are, so don't be afraid to show off your personality through your clothing choices.

LAYERS AND ACCESSORIES:
Adding layers or accessories can add visual interest to your photos. Scarves, hats, jackets, or statement jewelry can all enhance your outfit.

AVOID LOGOS:
Clothing with large logos or brand names can be distracting in photos. Opt for pieces without visible logos.

FIT MATTERS:
Make sure your clothing fits well and flatters your body shape. Avoid anything too tight or too loose.

CONSIDER THE SEASON:
Dress appropriately for the season in which your pictures will be taken. Light, breathable fabrics for summer and warmer layers for winter.

BACKUP OPTIONS:
Bring a few different outfit options to your photo shoot so you can switch if needed or if you want variety in your pictures.

Remember, the most important thing is to choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. These pictures are a celebration of you and your achievements, so have fun with the process!

How many pictures will I receive?

You will receive 20-30, edited, high resolution photographs for you to do with as you please.

When and where do you shoot?

Location and time is up to you. But, I am always willing to suggest my favorite locations if you like. I am willing to drive up to 30 minutes from Whitefish Bay for a session, and I HIGHLY recommend shooting during "Golden Hour" (just before sunset) for the best lighting.

Why should I have senior pictures taken?

Senior pictures are important because they:

Commemorate achievements and milestones.

Capture memories of high school experiences and friendships.

Serve as a personal expression of style and personality.

Act as cherished family keepsakes.

Are used for graduation announcements and invitations.

Can be utilized for professional purposes like college applications or job interviews.
